Who we are
Tek_tonic is a technology education brand of Pedagogy Technologies ("Tek_tonic", "we", "us"). This policy covers the public website at tek-tonic.pro and Tek_tonic Studio at app.tek-tonic.pro, the tool our team uses to write, schedule and publish Tek_tonic content to our own social media accounts and YouTube channels.
Questions about this policy or your data go to hello@tek-tonic.pro.
What we collect
Visitors to the public website. Reading the site needs no account and we do not ask for personal information.
- When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, referring site, device and browser type, and approximate location. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.
- Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your own browser. It is never sent to us.
- If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
Tek_tonic Studio users. Studio accounts are created by us for our own team.
- Name, email address and a password, which is stored only as a one-way hash.
- Sign-in records for security: IP address, browser user agent, sign-in time and failed sign-in attempts.
- An audit log of actions taken in the Studio, such as connecting an account or approving a post.
Connected social accounts. When a team member connects a YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads or X account through that platform's official sign-in (OAuth), we store:
- The access and refresh tokens the platform issues, encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Tokens are never sent to a browser.
- The account, Page or channel ID, its display name, the permissions granted and when the tokens expire.
- The posts and videos we publish through it, and their public performance numbers (such as views, likes and comment counts).
Google and YouTube data
Tek_tonic Studio uses YouTube API Services to publish our videos to YouTube. When you connect a YouTube channel, Tek_tonic asks Google for two permissions, and uses each only for the purpose listed:
- youtube.upload: to upload videos you have approved in Tek_tonic Studio to the channel you chose, with the title, description, thumbnail and visibility you set.
- youtube.readonly: to identify the channels you own or manage (channel ID, name, subscriber and video counts) so you can pick one, and to read view, like, comment and favourite counts for videos Tek_tonic published, so we can see how they performed.
We do not:
- access your Gmail, contacts, Drive, calendar or any Google data beyond the two permissions above;
- read comment text, viewer identities or subscriber lists;
- sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models;
- let people read Google user data, except our own team operating the Studio, or where the law requires it.
Tek_tonic's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access. You can remove Tek_tonic's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page, or by removing the channel under Settings, Connections in Tek_tonic Studio. Removing it in the Studio deletes the stored tokens immediately.
Deletion. If you revoke access or ask us to delete your data, we delete the tokens and all data received from YouTube API Services for that channel within 7 days. Email hello@tek-tonic.pro with the channel name to ask.
How we use it
- To run the website and Tek_tonic Studio and keep them secure.
- To publish and schedule Tek_tonic content to the accounts and channels connected for it.
- To measure how our own published content performs and plan what to make next.
- To answer messages you send us.
Security and retention
Traffic is served over HTTPS. Platform tokens are encrypted at rest, passwords are stored only as hashes, and Studio access is limited to our team by role. We keep account data while the account is in use, delete platform tokens as soon as an account is disconnected, and keep published-content records and their performance history until we no longer need them or you ask us to delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@tek-tonic.pro. We reply within 30 days, and for YouTube data we act within the 7 days set out above.
Children
Tek_tonic Studio is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update it on this page and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we will ask for your consent again before relying on it.
